This time we're looking at the bottom of the menu.

We are two best friends who, amidst the hustle and bustle of university life, realized at some point that we were tired of eating the same things. Ankara is a big city, and there seem to be so many options, but we always found ourselves at the same tables, in front of the same dishes. After a while, we realized that the problem wasn't actually a lack of options, but that we were always choosing the same things.

That's why we decided to change our route.

Our goal was very clear: to go beyond the well-known, constantly recommended places and discover more obscure, less-talked-about cuisines. We set out in search of dishes hidden at the bottom of menus, seemingly unpopular at first glance, but which actually have their own story. From Thailand to Korea, from Uyghur cuisine to Pakistani tables, in this process we not only tried new flavors; we also confronted our preconceptions.

We often found ourselves unknowingly maintaining a distance from certain cuisines. But as we tried them, we realized that it's not just about the food, but about seeing the story behind it. Sometimes you discover a different culture through a single plate, and sometimes you're briefly immersed in a life you knew nothing about.

We started this blog precisely for this reason: to discover together those places in Ankara you might have passed by but never noticed, or perhaps hesitated to try. Here, we don't just describe "what we ate"; we also share what we felt, what we thought, and what changed our minds.

In short, we're after something a little different.
